Focus on Environment and Raw Materials

 

Rudeco is an environmentally aware company. We deliver first-class products and also respect the environment.  Our production and product development is directed at ecology, and wherever possible, we use materials which are part of an ecological system.

 

We use primarily wood which is felled in areas with controlled forestry. The types of wood are specially chosen for use in playgrounds and can be used without toxic impregnating. We use Cedar from British Columbia, Topwood (picca abies), which comes from Northern Sweden and therefore only grows 3-4 months a year, supplemented with Larch.

 

Minimal Environmental Influence

 

Our methods of production are adjusted so that there is a minimal influence on the environment, e.g. for the colouring /staining of the different products, we only use water-based materials. We sort out our waste products for recycling e.g. leftover wood goes to heating, and likewise cardboard is recycled almost 100%.

Rudeco´s products do not have a negative effect on the environment in the period of time they are utilised, and can thereafter be taken down, reused or got rid of without damaging the environment.

 

In 2004 Rudeco received Storstrømsamts Environmental Diploma for an extraordinary effort for the environment.
